SHORTS: BEYOND RETRO
So after careful consideration I've decided to give the whole outfit post thing a whirl. It's not that I think I am particularly stylish you understand, it's simply that despite my short hair and gruff demeanor I am in fact a woman, which unfortunately means that I possess the 'Passion for Fashion' gene. Apologies in advance peeps it's about to get totes girly.
I have been the proud owner of these vintage Levi cut-off shorts for about 3 years now and I wear them to absolute death. Versatile like a Bird's Eye potato waffle this staple piece goes with everything - tights and flats, heels and bare legs, a cotton tee or a lace body - plus they make my bum look just peachy. Ha!
Last Friday I headed out for some leaving drinkies at The Alibi in Dalston and decided to team these old faithfuls with a Topshop floral silk blouse (buttoned up to the neck, natch), opaque black tights and my trusty black leather loafers. The shirt/shorts combo gave a sexy edge to this fairly dressed down look and the flats were a tactical move, fashwa yet practical, you can't moonwalk in 6 inch heels ladies trust me, I've tried.
There you have it folks, outfit post numero uno! What do you reckon? Would you like to see more?
