Being handed a cupcake and champagne-filled china cup as THE GIRL WHO STOLE VINTAGE and I strolled through Traffic People's door was the perfect intro their cutesy SS13 collection. Desperate Housewives meets Beetlejuice meets Carry On Cruising - in the best possible sense OBVS.

Dresses dripping in dainty floral, bow and Bambi-esque prints sat alongside monochrome maxi's and layered chiffon vests that give boring basics the two-finger salute. Kitsch polka dots hold hands with candy cane stripes on Peter Pan collared playsuits and ruffle-sleeved shirts to create a fabulous forum of fun-infused frocks.

Twas an anchor print spaghetti strap swing top that caught my fashwa eye as well as a Chambray dress with a 1950's style full skirt that would be ah-maz-ing worn with gladiator sandals and a head scarf come the summer. Traffic People have definitely done a sterling job of putting the 'cool' in nautical for SS13.

Other than the wonderfully retro SS13 collection we were also invited to peruse Traffic People's current product which if I had to summarise in one word it would be vamp. Fur, lace and metallics. Me all over. And so when the lovely Lois from Carrot Top PR kindly offered us to a Traffic People piece I headed straight for the their lastest collection and the 80's inspired Glorious Jacket. I now NEED to purchase a pair of leather trousers to team it with. And maybe some Loubies *frantically writes letter to Santa Claus*

I had a fab time with Lois and Louise from Traffic People and would like to give them a big cyber hug for asking us to join them. Roll on SS13.

Did you attend the Traffic People press day? What was your fave piece?...
