STUNTIN' TO THE MAX

Tuesday, 15 January 2013

JUMPER: H&M  //  LONG-SLEEVED TOP: PRIMARK  //  NECKLACE: PRIMARK  //  MAXI SKIRT: ASOS  //  BOOTS: DR MARTENS

And so my love affair with all things grunge continues. Ma and Pa very kindly surprised me with these Dr Martens 101 boots for Christmas (blates after reading THIS post) and what better way to break them in than with a brisk walk through the Tim Walker exhibition at Somerset House. If you haven't been yet step away from the laptop and journey there this instant. Tis epic.

Obsessing over Drew and Courtney's clobber circa 1990 meant a black maxi was the only suitable accomplice for my Docs. This River Island split side skirt was pilfered from the ASOS sale for puny £12 but despite being super comfy it sure does draw in a draft. Brrrrrrrr. Layering is most definitely the thing at this time of year so a basic black long-sleeved Primark tee under a non-offensive piece of knitwear was a no brainer.

Granted it's not my most exciting of ensembles but with a slick of MAC Girl About Town and a bit of bling I felt hella comfy chic. Am looking forward to chucking on my 101's with geo prints, distressed denim and lots of lace come Spring.

How do YOU wear your Dr Martens???

  3. Another cute outfit! I would love to be able to wear Dr Martens but I don't think it suits my style, i used to own the heeled ones in black patent but I never wore them and sold them on Ebay.... I love the metallic ones though..pasting the link here would be too long but Google search them! xx
