Day #1 of my very first LFW was so much more magical than I could have hoped, in fact thanks to the charming Liz Black it got curiouser and curiouser. Situated in the enigmatic inner sanctum of Freemasons Hall and taking inspo from Alice In Wonderland Black's AW13 ready-to-wear collection was presented in the form of a whimsical yet fashwa Mad Hatter's tea party during Fashion Scout

A bewildered 'Alice' tottered and weaved her way around a table laden with sweet treats donning a stunning structured ivory frock with square-cut neckline and sleek silhouette. Mini crown a-top her head the 'Queen Of Hearts' made an appearance too - rising from a throne made of plastic she commanded our attention with her sassy strut, off with their heads stare and and tempted-to-touch tresses. Standing to attention were rows of monochrome mannequins displaying the rest of Black's collection and commanding us to 'Wear Me'. And that I will Liz. If I can squeeze into them after munching my way through the awesome Alice themed treats courtesy of Cutsey Cakes *unzips trousers*.

Earlier that day Lereese and I managed to squeeze ourselves into a heavily over-subscribed Belle Sauvage show. Despite being sandwiched behind the catwalk scaffolding and press pit (hence the grainy iPhone pics) all the uncomfortable craning of necks was well worth it. Juxtaposing high-end and street style, Western baroque and Eastern iconography the AW13 collection brought an alternative aesthetic to the Fashion Scout catwalk - and boy did me likey!

Models marched warrior-like down the catwalk behind blunt fringes with hair pulled back into oriental style pigtails. Shift dresses, tracksuits and two-pieces fashioned from dragon adorned silk were offset by faux fur collars, capelets and jewel printed peplums. A luxe silk-lined hoodie and Chanel-esque suit were particular faves of mine but to be fair the entire avant-garde collection would have a welcome place in my wardrobe.

Did you hit up Fashion Scout during LFW day uno???
