This time last week I had the absolute pleasure of heading up't North with Lacoste L!VE to attend the Parklife Weekender. Most at home in a festival habitat I was as happy as a pig in the proverbial when the weather decided to take a turn for the glorious and so kitted out in my Lacoste L!VE loot I hit Heaton Park in search of cider and slammin tunes.

First port of call was the Very Important Persons area to explore the exclusive amenities and use the luxury lavs (standard) before bouncing over to the main stage to catch Rudimental. BIG tings. Out of the corner of our eyes we spied a Nando's truck where we made a pit-ta stop (see what I did there) and took in the atmosphere and gratuitous amount of arses on display. Seriously ladies. Jean-strings? Ain't nobody got time for that. My band crush The Maccabees were on form as per and Orlando's new locks were as rockin' as the tunes. Despite Plan B being the billed headline act Disclosure were without a doubt the star attraction. Unable to get inside the rammed tent we raved to the Surrey-born siblings bad-ass electronic beats until we could rave no more. Literally. Reckon we pulled a few muscles.

We crawled into Parklife day dos determined to drink and dance through the sore heads and soles we were nursing. Iggy Azalea gave us a serious 'Beat Down' with her bootylicious moves and big basslines at the main stage which was a welcome warm-up for DJ EZ over at David Rodigan's Ram Jam. Thank the Lord I packed my garage guns eh?! A massive highlight of my day was catching up with the Kiiboard Kid aka Kola Bello ahead of his killer set with Wretch 32. Don't Go had the whole crowd going mental and I'm blates blaming that track for the loss of my voice the following AM. We chilled and chugged Kopparberg during the start of Example's headline set before booting it over to witness TNGHT tear down the Hudson Mohawke tent. There's getting crunk then there's letting loose in a Lacoste L!VE stylee. Blimey those guys go in.

Massive love to Lacoste L!VE for inviting me to join them at Parklife. The perfect start to an epic festival season.
