IN OLD MEXICO

Saturday, 7 September 2013

Mexican is without a doubt one of my fave sorts of scran. In fact I'd go as far as to say if burritos were a bloke they'd blates be my baby-daddy. Yep. So you can imagine my delight when I rocked up at Dusty Finger's Vintage Market to be greeted by The Taco Stand

Offering up authentic Mexican tacos made with free range, organically sourced ingredients and freshly hand pressed corn tortillas The Taco Stand's owner Jason Doak means business. And boy can you taste it with each and every bite. For a very reasonable four quid I got two tacos - the first chipole braised beef served up with red cabbage, chive coleslaw and a roasted tomato sour cream and the second slow cooked black bean with queso fresco and pickled red onions also with sour cream. Lime-coriander sour cream to be exact. Succulent, tender and full of flavour these were by far the best tacos I have tasted in my young life.

Don't believe me? Go get your taco on at once! The Taco Stand can be found at both Chapel and Broadway markets as well as the occasional stint at KERB.

But are YOU gonna taco doe???
