Friday 13th may be unlucky for some but for music lovers all over the world twas probs the most fortuitous of Friday's in 2013. Killin' the game in a way that only R'n'B royalty could Queen Bey dropped her fifth album out of nowhere this AM without a hint or a holla. Released exclusively on iTunes each of the 14 tracks on the self-titled album (of course!) are accompanied by a music video and three extra vids thrown in for good measure.

Featuring tracks with her hubby Hov, Drake, Frank Ocean and even her ickle baby Blue Ivy giving it a go the album bounces from big soulful ballads to swaggin' booty shakers at such a speed you're compelled to replay it just to take it all in. Repeatedly. My standout track so far is ***Flawless a fu*k-ya'll-middle-finger-who-runs-the-world feminist anthem that envelopes you in Beyonce's badassery for a full 4:13.

For me, personally, this is one of the greatest musical milestones I've encountered in at least twelve months. Minus mass-marketing and soppy sales tactics Mrs Carter clocked up 80k downloads in no less than three hours. Crown consider yourself firmly fixed. Today shall from here on out be known as BEYday.

Which is YOUR fave track???
