It finally happened guys. I got to see CHVRCHES perform live. And it was good.

Last week I was invited down by the team at Somerset House to cover CHVRCHES Summer Series gig for the WAREHOUSE social channels - oh hey massive work perk - and to say I was excited doesn't come close. Having taken the music scene by storm with their debut album ‘The Bones Of What You Believe’  the Glaswegian trio rapidly became my musical obsession of late 2013 and their highly anticipated sold out gig did not disappoint.

Taking to the stage wearing an all-black ensemble lead singer Lauren Mayberry’s sweet Scottish vocal filtered delightfully into the band's synth-infused sound as it echoed around Somerset House’s incredible courtyard. She may be teeny tiny but her talent certainly isn't. From opener We Sink to Gun I sang along with my namesake at the top of my little lungs and arms were very much in the in the air for The Mother We Share

Mesmerisingly melancholic lyrics set against perky electro-pop beats my first CHVRCHES experience didn't disappoint. Roll on round deux.

Have you danced about at Somerset House???
